CHALLENGE
Many people know it as a step or activity challenge. It couldn't be simpler, as a company you book a challenge and we motivate your employees to take healthy exercise.
How does a challenge work?
Healthy exercise is fun! We take advantage of this and motivate colleagues to take part in the company challenge. This is individually designed for the company, the participant groups are created and then motivated to take part.
- Every movement counts: whether steps, cycling or sport - everything counts towards the challenge.
- 100% inclusive, no one is excluded.
- Leaderboard: Of course there is also a leaderboard where you can compete with your colleagues.
- Individual: The Challenge and the teams are customized for the company. This guarantees fair cooperation.
- Reward possible. Hardly anything motivates as well as a small reward. Our challenges offer the opportunity to be rewarded together or individually.

Advantages for companies
A challenge quickly and easily generates direct benefits for the company:
- More togetherness: We create a healthy atmosphere.
- More health: Companies reduce sickness rates and staff turnover and increase productivity.
- Easy: Finally a topic that is easy to solve.
- Measurable: You automatically receive key figures on the participation and activity of participants.
- Sustainable: An effect that lasts. Once in motion, you can build on it. For example, through further challenges or with the BENEFIT product.

Our challenge formats
We have already successfully completed over 200 challenges and have seen a lot in the process. The challenges are as varied as the requirements. Sometimes it's about sporting ambition, sometimes the focus is on healthy habits or mental health. Here are a few examples.

Our donation challenges are a special feature. Every quarter, we offer several donation challenges free of charge pro bono. Apply with your idea for a donation challenge at: cr@moverepublic.com.

Either by season or for events such as carnival or summer vacations. If a topic is on everyone's lips, the participants are also open to taking part in a corresponding challenge.

Whether it's cycling to work, taking part in company sports or going for a lunch walk - it's the routine that makes the difference in the end. We use the challenges to form healthy habits in a fun and playful way.

There have already been companies that have combined the buffet at the Christmas party with exercise in a challenge. But the Olympics or a soccer World Cup are also good occasions for special challenges.

Slowing down can sometimes be just the right thing. Challenges can also help to improve mental health in this phase.

Challenges can be combined very well with regional company runs. This allows you to network regionally and have a goal for the teams.

The idea is to get an entire region moving. Either from the direction of a city or municipality or starting from a company. When company teams compete against other companies, a whole new form of networking takes place.

If you introduce healthy offers as a company, it usually makes sense to accompany this with a challenge. Whether it's a job bike or a company sports program, with a challenge you can get everyone on board and broaden the program.

The world of work is becoming increasingly networked. But at the same time, teams no longer necessarily sit in the same place. Joint healthy exercise works very well to strengthen team spirit. Even if everyone moves on their own, a challenge offers something in common.

The return on investment can be calculated using various key figures. In most cases, an easily determined comparison of the sickness rate compared to the national average is sufficient for the analysis. Customers achieve values of 20% - 30% reduction here. This leads to an ROI ratio of approx. 1:5.
These values are also confirmed by meta-studies.
Additional factors - albeit more complicated to record - are reduced fluctuation, higher productivity, increased employer branding and a significantly increased sense of unity.
For those who like to read more in-depth, there are numerous studies that prove the benefits of the program, which we also observe daily with our customers:
- "Regular everyday exercise, such as brisk walking or cycling, has been shown to have positive effects on health. Studies show that even moderate physical activity can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer. It also contributes to weight control and improves mental well-being."

- "The "Global status report on physical activity 2022" published by the World Health Organization (WHO) in October 2022 confirms that Germans do not get enough exercise. Germany even scores worse than average: 44% of women and 40% of men over the age of 18 need to become more active, according to the WHO. The situation among young people in Germany is particularly worrying: 88% of girls and 80% of boys do not get enough exercise."

- Motivational incentives can increase the participation rate in BGM programs from approx. 30-40% to 80-90%, but are not permitted according to Guideline Prevention 5.3.6. "Granting financial incentives in accordance with § 20 SGB V is not permitted". Positive effects are prevented here by the existing regulatory framework. We are trying to approach the ZPP here and propose a pilot study, as we believe that rewards in the area of exercise habits in everyday life should be permissible.
